One of my greatest joys in motherhood is seeing my kids express themselves creatively. Starting around the age of two, each of my kids so far has shown an interest in art and music. They LOVE getting their hands messy and diving into art projects. And they also enjoy picking up new instruments to learn new songs. It just tickles me to give them the freedom to explore to their heart’s content. This summer, we explored a lot with oil pastels, soft pastels, and watercolor pencils (Stabilo Woodies).
Here are some photos from my Instagram account this summer:
So this is the new, evolving look for leslieober.com! I am switching from Oberflow Creative Art to just using my name: Leslie Ober Fine Art. It flows nicely with my photography business, Fresh Baby Art, as well. I am also excited to be able to get rid of my Big Cartel site and just use the shop within this site – a much easier end user experience!
This is cause for celebration, so it is only fitting that I should share one my most recent pieces…
I am super excited to announce that three of my works have been accepted into the Middle West exhibit at the Hamilton East Public Library – Fishers. The exhibit will run through the end of January. If you haven’t had a chance to check out the new IGNITE studio, you should totally head over when you get a chance! It’s a pretty amazing place to explore creativity. My kids and have LOVED it!!
Here is a quick cell phone pic of the pieces on the wall:
