LOTS going on!!

Last month, I was shocked to find out that I had won the Special Award at the annual Polk Street Review book launch! I was humbled and honored to receive this special award for my writing and artwork.

I was also asked to give a short presentation about my creative process.

WHERE TO FIND MY WORK THIS MONTH

The Noblesville City Hall is hosting the HCAA’s Loving Large exhibit now through the end of April! My piece, Flood Field on Olio, is hanging among some other AMAZING works of art. This is my largest soft pastel piece, and I am just in love with its vibrant hues!

I also have a large piece hanging at the Birdie Gallery for our “Enchanted Spring” exhibit. That exhibit will also be up through the end of April.

Classes/Workshops/demonstrations

Unfortunately, my classes at IGNITE STUDIO in Fishers have already filled up! I will be offering two classes titled “All About Pastels” in which participants will get to explore the different types of pastels. 🙂 Below is a description of the classes, which will be held on March 14th and 28th from 2-4pm, at the Fishers Library IGNITE studio makerspace.

Enjoy an afternoon learning about and playing with the different types of pastels (soft, hard, and oil).  Watch a live demonstration from award-winning abstract artist, Leslie Ober, and experiment with different types of pastels as you create a beautiful masterpiece yourself! Ages 13+ Registration is required and your spot will be held for 10 minutes after the start time.  After 10 minutes, open spots will be filled with walk-ins.  Walk-ins must check in with staff.
